All Year 7 enrolments are managed by the Selective Schools Unit, NSW Department of Education. In October each year, application forms for the selective high schools test are available from government primary schools and from the Selective Schools Unit for Year 5 students and are due to be returned in November of that year.
Applicants from government primary schools are able to apply by completing an online application on the Internet. This is now the preferred method. However, for parents without Internet access the commercially printed version of the application form will still be available in reduced numbers. The online application will be open from middle/end October, 2015 on www.schools.nsw.edu.au/shsplacement. Parents are required to return applications by mid November, 2015, and therefore the timeline for application will remain approximately the same as previous years.
The test is held in March each year for Year 6 students and families are notified of the results towards the end of Term 2. All enquiries should be directed to:
